Following the success of the L1, we’re excited to introduce the WeissKlang L1 Plus – an enhanced large-diaphragm condenser microphone featuring switchable polar patterns, an expanded range of applications, and uncompromising sound quality.
The L1 Plus was developed in close collaboration with experienced sound engineers and producers – with the goal of combining maximum flexibility, highest resolution, and a natural sonic character in a compact, professional format.
At the heart of the L1 Plus is the newly developed, dual-diaphragm WMK‑1D capsule, based on the original WMK‑1 design. It not only delivers the same finely tuned frequency response and characteristic presence lift around 10–11 kHz, but also expands the microphone with three selectable polar patterns: cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8.
This makes the L1 Plus highly adaptable to a wide range of recording situations – from classic vocal and instrument recording to ambient room capture, stereo techniques, and creative setups like Mid/Side or Blumlein.
With its exceptional detail, balanced and transparent sound, and extremely low self-noise, the L1 Plus is perfectly suited for modern studio work at the highest level.
