No. KlangShield must be purchased within 30 days of receiving your microphone. Once this 30-day period has passed, coverage can no longer be added. This ensures that every covered microphone is protected from the beginning.
You can add KlangShield directly during checkout when purchasing a microphone, or at any time within 30 days of delivery.
Keep in mind that a single KlangShield plan protects all your WeissKlang microphones - both the ones you currently own and those you purchase in the future.
Yes. KlangShield is fully transferable to a new owner because the protection is tied to the WeissKlang microphone for which the plan was originally purchased.
As long as that microphone remains in your possession, the same KlangShield plan automatically protects any other WeissKlang microphones you already own or purchase later.
If the originally covered microphone is sold, KlangShield transfers with that microphone to its new owner. Protection for your remaining WeissKlang microphones ends at that point.
The included maintenance voucher is transferable as well, provided it is used for the relevant microphone.
Each microphone can only be covered by KlangShield once. Plans cannot be renewed or extended after they expire.
We therefore recommend choosing your preferred term - 10 years, 15 years or lifetime protection - when purchasing KlangShield.
Our standard 36-month factory warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not cover accidental damage such as drops or liquid damage. Without KlangShield, repairs outside the factory warranty are charged at our standard service rates.

Yes. Active KlangShield coverage includes accidental handling damage such as drops, liquid spills and similar unexpected incidents.
Once your microphone arrives at our workshop in Germany, diagnostics and repairs are typically completed within three business days. With an active KlangShield plan, covered repairs are carried out at no additional cost.
KlangShield is available for all newly purchased WeissKlang microphones. A single plan protects your entire collection, including WeissKlang microphones you purchase in the future.
Pre-owned microphones cannot normally be added retroactively.
The maintenance service includes thorough acoustic and cosmetic cleaning, complete electronic diagnostics and mechanical servicing. Every relevant component is inspected and, where necessary, recalibrated to factory specifications to restore your microphone to the best possible condition.

KlangShield protects the microphone itself. External accessories such as mounts, shockmounts, cables and wooden boxes are not covered by the plan.
Yes. KlangShield provides worldwide protection for WeissKlang owners. Fully insured shipping for covered repairs is included in both directions at no additional cost, regardless of where you are located.
