a large-diaphragm condenser microphone with a natural frequency response,
an excellent impulse response and a high performance.
We answered these questions during several years of conception and in
cooperation with experienced sound engineers.
The characteristics of both voices and musical instruments are unique. Therefore the demands on a versatile large-diaphragm microphone are very high.
The WeissKlang V13 features a discrete, transformerless circuit and high-graded technical components for excellent acoustic qualities and a high dynamic range.
With the excellent impulse response and the clear and linear character, the V13 is perfectly suitable for critical recording processes.
The V13 offers a high dynamic range and with its low self equivalent noise level of <10 dB-A it’s almost noise-free. The frequency range of 20 Hz – 20.000 Hz also allows extremely low (and high) frequencies to be captured.
The newly developed WMK-13 capsule is gold-sputtered, acoustically well-balanced and least sensitive at the rear (cardioid). In order to get the best possible acoustic properties, the circuit and the capsule are matched.
We rely not only on measurement data, but also on acoustic perception.
The technical characteristics of a microphone are defined by the quality of its components and overall quality control.
By using and carefully matching high-quality, hand-selected components, the V13 achieves a natural and flat frequency response as well as a smooth polar pattern.
Long-life capacitors from Germany and MIL-standard resistors ensure accurate and low-noise signal processing.
The V13 impresses with its timeless and simple design. The body is made of copper and hardened aluminum. The slightly roughened and powder-coated surface is very resistant and durable.
Thanks to a patented manufacturing technique, the body resonances were reduced to a minimum and do not affect the frequency response of the microphone.
Due to its shape, incoming sound is dispersed evenly inside the microphone grille, thus avoiding so-called “standing waves”.
By using the included MA-1 shock mount, the microphone is mechanically decoupled to reduce the impact of physical vibrations.
The low frequency absorption goes up to 18 dB.
Equipped with a soft foam layer, the shock mount ensures quick and secure attachment with adjustable tilt angle and avoids bothersome tinkering.
The flexible rubber bands offer an ideal isolation and are replaceable.

„WeissKlang delivers a well-designed and cohesive ‘Made in Germany’ product that also stands out with its reasonable pricing. The idea of a linear and thus universally applicable sound recorder works perfectly. The concept is rounded off by high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship.“
„Versatile, well-balanced sounding large-diaphragm condenser microphone with shock mount. This microphone delivers exactly what was promised: a neutral sound.
Vocals, guitars and other instruments are captured in a well-balanced way.
The impulse response is also satisfying. We can clearly recommend the V13.“
„A stellar first microphone from WeissKlang. The V13 is a solid piece of engineering that will capture a great recording with a minimum of fuss. The Sonimus KlangFormer software is exemplary and perfectly matched to the workflow and V13’s linear but beautiful character.“
„…With a neutral setup you can even add a specific color in the post-processing. As a basic rule: the cleaner your recording is, the bigger are the possibilities for post-processing.
A virtual preamp simulation is very authentic on the V13 recordings and it makes really fun!
Due to the clean and pure sound, you have all options to take the best out of your tracks with EQs and compressors…my voice has never sounded that good“
„The WeissKlang V13 is a clean and versatile microphone that captures the sound precisely and as it is. As an extra bonus, the KlangFormer plug-in from Sonimus allows the neutral WeissKlang sound to be slightly but effectively shaped with five different colorations.“
„I was looking for a large-diaphragm microphone with the most neutral sound possible. The V13 does an outstanding job in this regard. Thank you, WeissKlang 😊👍“
„Just got around to test my new V13 and I’m so happy! It got exactly what I wanted for my voice-productions. Nothing fancy, no colouring…It’s just there!“
„I love my V13. Absolutely natural sound and my first choice for vocals. Top!“
„I am more than thrilled with the WeissKlang V13. The microphone captures recordings very clearly and neutrally – working with it is a pleasure.“
„Very good and clear microphones. I use them for vocals and acoustic
guitars and I’m very happy with them.“
